Teensafe – IOS 8 Update

With the release of IOS 8 there are some important things to note for teensafe:

Once a user updates to IOS 8 they will need to run a manual backup again before the phone will automatically back up while inactive.

Additionally the update to IOS 8 will wipe the phones memory, for customers this means that all texts that were deleted prior to the update will no longer be held in the memory of the phone and will no longer be visible on the website.

Teensafe – Apple Security Update

Recently apple rolled back the alert emails to just be sent with GPS tracking.  As of last night apple has began re-rolling out alerting account holders via email whenever the information is accessed in any manner.

Teensafe has updated their website to alert upon clicking “get new data”, at this time not all users are effected by this but many are receiving these alerts any time the iCloud is accessed.

Continue to offer discounts to customers that are looking to cancel, and teensafe is still working towards a resolution that least impacts the customers.

Tengo locations with EOL equipment

If you are troubleshooting a guest connection at a location that has EOL equipment do not relay to the guest that the reason they are unable to connect is due to the equipment being end of life.

If you identify that there is a network issue relating to the EOL equipment and that is why the customer cannot connect, treat it just like any other network support issue and inform the caller that we do have a network support Tech working on the issue at the location. Again do not relay to the caller that the issue is occurring due to end of life equipment.

Additionally if you receive multiple calls or notice multiple recent tickets at a location with EOL equipment please inform George.

Headset RoundUp

At the end of each shift, turn in your headset if it was issued to you by ContactWorks to a manager or team lead.  If a manager or team lead is not present at the end of your shift, leave your headset on Mike Marmion’s desk.

If you took home a headset that was issued to you by ContactWorks, bring it in and give it to a team lead or manager.

All headsets are to be returned by close of business on Monday.

Tengo – Sunwifi landing page launch

Tengo has launched new landing pages (like start.tengointernet.com) at four Sun community locations: Wagon Wheel, Wild Acres, Big Timber Lake and Tampa East.

The new landing page can be accessed (and previewed) at http://www.sunwifime.com/

Additionally Tampa East also changed their network from a Pay Per Use to a Free to Guest network.  We may receive calls from guests looking for refunds for long term paid subscriptions, if you do receive a caller requesting a refund please inform them that as compensation we have proactively doubled their available speed and giving them unlimited data for the duration of their paid subscription.  If they would still like a refund enter a refund request for that customer.

Last Day

ContactWorks Team,

Friday, September 12th, 2014 will be my last day working at ContactWorks. I have accepted another opportunity with the state. It has been my pleasure to work with such outstanding individuals. I have learned so much from everyone at ContactWorks and enjoyed interacting with everyone on a professional and personal level. What I’m going to miss most here is the culture of ContactWorks and how well everyone gets along. I am excited for the opportunities ContactWorks has in the near future and I see nothing but success for everyone here.

Thanks for the memories!

Teensafe – Apple Security Update

Jim has modified the current canned response with a link to instructions on how the user may ensure that the correct email is receiving these alerts.

Teensafe CANNOT advise the customer to change the email that receives the alerts from an apple ID.  Do NOT advise a customer to do this.

Teensafe MAY supply a link to the customer that will give them instructions on how to ensure that the correct email is receiving these alerts.

The new edition of the canned response can be seen below:
