CARE Updates

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are changing the login process for CARE on Mar 23 at 10pm. This change will include everyone receiving a new password for CARE. You may also need to login more than once depending on where you go in CARE but the username and password will work across the whole site. This change will not change any of the URLs for CARE.  In the event, after the change over, you do not have access or if your access is not working correctly please notify your Teamlead so that IT can fix the issue.  New Care credentials will be email on Monday at 5pm and be in place at 10pm.

Holiday Safeware Support (SIMS)

In light of the holidays and people using VPN from home, we realized that you will not have the Safeware VPN set up at home and using it will mess up the existing connection.  When you get a Safeware call and you need to use SIMS, please make sure to grab as much info for the customer as possible and interface with an agent who is in the office to get the information necessary for the call.

Safeware Holiday Schedule:

Thanksgiving Day 11/28/13 Thursday – Out of Office
Day After Thanksgiving 11/29/13 Friday – Out of Office
Christmas Eve 12/24/13 Tuesday – Out of Office
Christmas 12/25/13 Wednesday – Out of Office

Early Dismissal Days (2PM CST)
Day Before Thanksgiving 11/27/13
New Year’s Eve 12/31/13

Holiday Process

Only Applies to Mega Dealers

  • Identified by Dealer number listed in the agreement in SIMS
    • Mega Dealer will be a 4 digit number as opposed to an alpha numeric dealer number.
    • Also identified by caller ID number 800-546-2109
    • The caller may not identify his/her self as a Mega Dealer.  You may ask the following question to help identify them;
      • “Would you like to set up service, or are you a servicer looking for approval on a claim?”
      • A dealer will want to authorization for a particular claim.

Launch VPN and log into SIMS

  • Search for and pull up the claim in question.  Verify the Dealer number is a 4 digit number (this confirms they are a Mega Dealer).
  • If the Mega Dealer wants to perform service on a claim, inform them to move ahead without authorization over Thanksgiving.
  • Inform them that only STANDARD RATES are approved.
    • Overtime and Holiday Rates will not be paid.
  • The Dealer and their Servicer should be able to schedule their own repair appointments at that point.
