*** Important! *** Computer Warranty Services Call(s) 2/1/2016 *** Important ***

Team,

We’ll be having two calls this afternoon on the Computer Warranty Services queue regarding two claims on two different Chromebooks. When the school(s) call regarding the Chromebook repair, a pick-up and delivery service will be provided to the school. Therefore, when the representatives from the school district call in, we will take all information regarding the claim, as well as what specific location the device(s) will be located for the pick-up, and subsequent delivery.

The customer will also need to be informed that, since they are a new customer, and since this is their first pick-up, we’ll be scheduling one of our representatives to get back with them regarding confirmation of the day of pick-up, and an approximate time for the pickup.

The name of the customer that we will likely be hearing from will be from Spartanburg District One. They should have two different models of Chromebooks, similar to the following:

T4M31UR#ABA

HWP-K4K83UA#ABA

BE SURE TO DOCUMENT THE SPECIFIC DEVICE THAT THE CUSTOMER CALLS IN WITH. USE THE ABOVE MODEL TAGS AS REFERENCE.

See George or Brandon immediately if there are any issues, or questions regarding this post.

Thank you!

Tengo Troubleshooting – Pinging Customer Devices

Please remember when troubleshooting guest connections that pinging their device(s) from the node/GW at the location they are connecting to can be a great way to identify potential SNR or signal issues causing packet loss.  HOWEVER YOU MUST REMEMBER WHEN DOING THIS, if the device returns with 100% packet loss this DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK.  Windows and other AV programs frequently block ping requests via firewalls, 100% loss (To a customer device from a tengo device) does not mean there is an issue on the network and is not reason to escalate a ticket to netops.

Kudos for Paula Coulbeck from a TeenSafe Customer!

Congratulations for the Kudos to you Paul!

Through the daily grind, Paul answered a ticket with a curious customer who needed an explanation of our service. Paul led this customer in the right direction and got this response.

“Just wanted to say thank you to Paul C. Not only was he extremely quick to respond but he was very knowledgeable and answered my question completely AND he even went out of his way to make sure that I could get the free trial in the future since it wasn’t a fit for me at the moment!  I really appreciate it.  Thank you! ” – Aimee M.

Time off opportunity over the next few weeks.

With volume slow in some area’s we have an opportunity to allow people to take a bit of extra time off over the next two weeks.

If you are interested in grabbing a little longer break on your weekend, or have personal things that need to be taken care of during the week, or just want another day off talk to your lead.  While I cannot guarantee everyone will be able to take time off I will try to accommodate everyone who would like to.

This extends to agents on all teams, however ability to have TeenSafe or Educopia agents off will depend heavily on ability to backfill/projected volume.

Time off requests will still need to be entered in ADP, and are not approved until management has confirmed.

Reminder: No Smoking Out Front

Just a friendly reminder, you are not allowed to smoke in the front of the building.  You MUST go to the dedicated Gazebo area in the back parking lot.

Also please make sure you are utilizing the ashtray and not throwing your butts on the ground.  Let’s keep everyone happy and maintain a clean, professional environment.

New Years VPN

Working from home has been approved for NYE and NYD.

Make sure you are prepared and your computer is set up and working with VPN before the start of your shift. If you need to do any test calls to make sure it is working, make sure you coordinate that with your team lead.

Remember to keep your browsing traffic safe for the workplace, as all internet traffic while connected to VPN will go through the work network.

The VPN days are Thursday 12/31/15 and Friday 01/01/16.

As always, if you cannot VPN you will need to come in to the office for your shift.

Everyone have a happy and safe New Years!

TeenSafe Personal Zendesk Macro’s

Use of unapproved macro’s is no longer acceptable; will result in failing QA and potential disciplinary action.

If you find that the macro’s in use do not fulfill your needs to provide support you can request, through your team lead (Chris), to have another macro created for group use.  As we and TeenSafe continue to grow it is important we maintain consistent messaging, and as personal macro’s are unable to be reviewed these are no longer allowed for use.
