White Elephant Event

ContactWorks is holding a digital White Elephant event and everyone can participate! Everyone can submit a gift to the White Elephant game, and everyone who submits a gift will receive a gift, even if you aren’t able to attend the actual White Elephant event.

To start with, you will click on the link below to register yourself and to add your address and a gift to add to the white elephant event.

Shereka and Ken will coordinate with everyone on when we will be holding the actually White Elephant.

On the day of the event, everyone who is able to, will join the video call and the game lead, Santa Ken, will share their screen. We encourage you to login to White Elephant Online to check-in and follow along.

Once the game is complete, players will be notified what address to use to either ship the gift, or an e-card, based on the recipient’s preference.

White Elephant Rules

– When the game begins, everyone is assigned a number. Participants can see the number they drew by logging in
– Participants either open a gift or steal a gift from another person, in the order of their numbers.
– After everyone takes their turn, player #1 gets a bonus turn. They can either keep their gift or swap with another player
– The game ends after all turns are completed and every player has a gift

Additional Rules

– If a gift is stolen, it cannot be stolen ‘back’ immediately by the victim
– Gifts will get ‘locked’ (and no longer able to be stolen) after they’ve been stolen 3 times
– A given participant can only be stolen from 3 times throughout the game
– The number of steals per round is limited to 3

Click to join

3. Once you’re in the game, you can submit a gift by pasting a URL from your favorite retailer and choosing the wrapping paper. You can also submit your address to make gift distribution easier after the gift-swap is done.

At that point – you’re all set until game day!

December 2024

Hey everybody, we hope you’re having a wonderful December! We thought we’d get back into the swing of things with some accolades!

November Recognition

We first want to recognize and thank Michele Serrano for all of her hard work. Shifting seamlessly from Audi on Demand to Shared Queue to Bondi Pure to other projects, Michele has really stepped things up and has been going above and beyond all around. We greatly appreciate you!

We next want to give a shout out to out very own Vincent Salvo! Without a lot of experience or practice, he’s been able to handle challenging DentaQuest calls with such improvement that DentaQuest, themselves were extremely happy. Keep up the amazing work!

They’ll both be receiving appreciation gift cards in their email soon!

December Birthdays

Be sure to wish Kevin Phebus a very happy birthday. He celebrates on the 19th!

Holiday Party

Stay tuned for more information about the company holiday party!

Winners and Turkeys

Congrats Jennifer!

Jennifer was winner of the space helmet contest! We all loved your creativity and design!

Don’t Be a Jive Turkey!

To get into the Thanksgiving mood, we’re going to be doing a crafting competition. This is just meant to be a fun activity that uses whatever you have available to you without spending any money.

Tap into that inner elementary school kid and make a Hand Turkey!

You can go old school and use paper and whatever coloring tools you have at your disposal, Paint on your computer, or even a rubber glove and some sort of stuffing to make it 3D!

September 2024

So many updates to share with everyone so let’s get started!

Ken Quiz Show

In the month of June 2024, we held a month long quiz show called “June-o The Answer?”
In the following month, we added a new segment called “Are Ju-lyin?”

And we have 3 winners! Congratulations to all of those good guesses!

  • Gold: 34 points – Caryn Corley
  • Silver: 24 points – Robert Pfannstiel
  • Bronze: 20 points – Arthur Betts

Customer Service Week 2024

This year’s theme is Above and Beyond, so we’ve decided to go for a space theme.

Space Helmet Making Contest

We will have a contest to encourage everyone to create a space helmet! Helmets will be presented at the end of Customer Service Week and there will even be a prize for the most voted!

Here are some suggested guides on how to make YOUR helmet.
Space Helmet Creation Ideas

Scheduled Events

We plan to have streaming done in a designated movie channel each day. This will be space themed shows and movies. If you have any you’d love to see, feel free to send your suggestions to Ken Becker.

We will have a couple of week long events that should give everyone a chance to participate. The Space Helmet making event is one of them, and you can start on that as early as you want. Other events will be announced at the designated time.

Points will be awarded for participation and for winning. Bonus points will be awarded for going above and beyond when the situation allows for it.

We’ll have a full list of scheduled events available near the end of September 2024. In the meantime, we’ll update you with the scheduled events on the Customer Service Week 2024 CARE page.

Birthdays and Anniversaries

Birthdays

Arthur Betts celebrates his birthday on the 11th. Happy Birthday, Arthur!

Anniversaries

Arthur Betts celebrates his birthday on the 11th. Happy Birthday, Arthur! … No, that was not an accidental double. Nobody was direct hired in September so let’s all remember to wish Arthur a very happy birthday!

July 2024

It’s been a crazy year so far, and things just keep getting hotter and wilder. Thanks, Spectrum! Let’s focus on some fun stuff for the moment!

Recognition

With that, there have been some recognitions we would like to share with everybody!

Tengo

We had a pretty nice Kudos come back from one of the callers. She says:

“No Request. I wanted to commend Kevin and Vince who assisted me at different locations. These gentlemen were patient, thorough and solved my connection problems quickly.”

Tengo will send both Kevin and Vincent a thank you gift card each! Keep up the great work!

June 2024

Malcolm Richburg has been keeping his attention divided between Tech Team One, Tengo, and Shared Queue. It’s not easy, but he’s not only accomplishing this, but exceling. He’s also been getting kudos for Tengo, has done great work for Tech Team One, and even though he hasn’t had many, his shared queue calls are great and on scope! Keep up the amazing work Malcolm. You’ll receive a recognition thank you in your email soon.

Birthdays and Anniversaries

Let us all get a moment to wish George Barbour a Happy Birthday! He got to celebrate his early on July 3rd!

Vincent Salvo enjoyed his birthday a week later on July 10th. Hey, that’s the date of this posting!

Happy Birthday guys!

Kenneth Becker celebrates 13 years at ContactWorks as of July 8th! Aside from Tom, there is one employee who has been here longer! I better not say who it is as that’s a Trivia question under the ContactWorks category!

June-o The Answer? Ju-lyin?

Games

Speaking of Trivia, the Ken Quiz from “June-o the Answer?” has extended into “Ju’lyin?” This will be a new category where you have to guess if the statement shared is the truth or a lie!

Also remember that Queue based categories are worth double! The current placement of our score is:

  • Current Quiz Lead – Caryn Corley
  • 2nd place position – Robert Pfannstiel
  • 3rd place position – Arthur Betts

The rest are divided by a mere matter of points, and with plenty of July left, it’s still anyone’s game!

Updates

Hey Team! We have a couple of reminders, updates and celebrations to get through!

Knowledgebase Updates

Keep watch on the latest updates section of each knowledgebase page. This will help remind you of any updates and changes to scripting or processes. For example:

Bublr Bikes Update

To help cover the costs of maintaining and managing increased bike usage, the per cost minute will raise to $0.35 per minute on the weekends. This rate will also go up more during certain events; this is documented in Bcycle CARE both under:

Tengo Update

For those of you who support Tengo, don’t forget to keep reviewing the Scope Flow breakdown on the Tengo CARE page. It not only reminds you of what we do NOT do, but also shows you the list of steps you CAN do for Slow Speeds, Caller Complaints, Connectivity Troubleshooting and Intermittent Connectivity issues.

Relias

For those who support Relias, you’re handling the volume wonderfully! Just remember to keep reviewing that Cheat Sheet so that you can remember things like:

  • ALL calls from Madigan get deferred back to Madigan‘s Liaison, even password reset requests.
  • ALL Inactive Account calls from Walter Reed get escalated on the Relias form
  • (and so on)
CTS / Nielsen

We now have the ability to check on the status of phone replacement orders! Steps and images on how to do this will be coming soon to a CARE near you!

Birthdays and Anniversaries
For May, 2024, we’d like to announce:

Oscar Sanchez hit his one year anniversary on May 19th! He was truly a great addition to the Silvercar / Audi on Demand team and has been doing amazing work since!
Although Robert Pfannstiel also hit his 1 year anniversary on May 8th, he’s actually been around a lot longer than that! Ask him to tell you some stories!

Speaking of stories, take some time to wish Robert Pfannstiel a very happy birthday! I hope he enjoyed his May 13th! It was a Monday!
Mr. Enzo had his own birthday on May 7th. Happy Birthday Enzo! We hope you had a good one!

Recognition

With that, we would now like to announce some agents whom we wish to recognize for April 2024.

Oscar Sanchez was flying solo, handling what little came his way. … Suddenly, without warning, someone somewhere hit a button on their keyboard. A marketing email went out, and a sudden influx of volume came in. Oscar buckled down and got to it, taking out one after the other. Though it was her day off, Jennifer Perez answered the call and hopped in the pilot seat. These two aces rocked that day, and is but merely one example of how these two have been going above and beyond to handle what’s needed!

Caryn Corley was once part of the Troomi team. She’s not only from the original team, but she was kept on for so long because of how awesome she was. When she was rehired back and assigned to the shared queue, Caryn brought her skills with her. Not only are her ticket notes above and beyond what is minimally needed with extra context and detail, but has been vocally pivotal in the refinement of our documented processes and procedures. Not only that, but she is constantly asking questions about the processes and the knowledgebase which, in turn, has helped us refine wording, processes and documentation. Thank you for helping us make a better flow for you guys!

Oscar, Jennifer, and Caryn will each get a $75 gift card emailed to their work address soon! Thank you all for your continued contributions!

Coming Soon

Streaming

Next week, we’ll get back to some streaming. … We’ll do some memorial day related movies on Monday, and on Thursday, I’ll put on Comedians in Cars having Coffee followed by Carpool Karaoke.

Games

Since next month is June, we’re going to theme it, “June-O The Answer”? Not only will we have the Ken Quizzes, but we’ll also have something special! More info coming soon!

A little late in the month, but no less relevant! We want to spotlight two guys who have been going above and beyond!
Michael Gonzalez is being recognized for his immense efforts to help the team pull through a very enduring AoD Legacy Cancellation Project. Thank you for that extra lift!

Enzo is also being recognized for his continued contributions to the whole team! He’s been very responsive and helpful when it comes to CTS chat, has provided great suggestions and feedback during training, and has been very active in both contributing ideas to and attending Contactivities! Thank you for your continued efforts!

Each one gets a $100 Amazon Gift Card. Be sure to check your work email once it’s send out.

The winners of the March walk-a-thon will be receiving their prizes soon too!

1st place – Oscar Sanchez
2nd Place – Robert Pfannstiel
3rd Place – Maria McEwen

Monthly Recognition

We want to recognize two amazing performers for February 2024!

Jennifer Perez has been a bastion of Audi on Demand support, handling the marketing driven tsunamis with great effort and professionalism to keep the queues under control. Amazing work!

Arthur Betts has been a great value in spending some of his spare work time helping to refine and update Tengo CARE and procedures. Also, had CARE not been able to be fully restored, Arthur would have saved the entirety of the Nielsen documentation and was happy to share the information he had before it was lost. Thank you for all your time and hard work!

Each one gets a $100 Amazon Gift Card. Be sure to check your work email once it’s send out.

Kevin Phebus and Robert Pfannstiel should be receiving their gift cards soon in their work email!

Who’s next for March? Only time will tell!
