Teensafe – Apple New Security Measure

Over the weekend apple implemented a new security feature.  Any time an iCloud is accessed either via web or for download the email attached now receives a message from apple.

Jim has created a new canned response for this issue. We will be receiving calls about it. It is important to make sure to let the callers know that it is not Teensafe that is contacting the teen but apple.

Dear Customer,

TeenSafe is aware of the new added iCloud security that Apple has initiated, where as Apple is now sending an Email to the iCloud account holder (iCloud ID Email address). This email does not state TeenSafe at all, but is as follows:

Your Apple ID (iCloud ID Email Address) was used to sign in to iCloud via a web browser.

Date and Time: September 7, 2014, 7:14 AM PDT

If you recently signed in to iCloud.com, you can disregard this email.

If you have not signed in to iCloud.com recently and believe someone may have accessed your account, you should reset your password at My Apple ID.

TeenSafe’s team of engineers are analyzing this new Apple iCloud security and are working diligently to resolve the impact to our users. We will update you on our progress. Thank you.
