Android – Data is not Updating
The Android updates every 15 minutes, only if it is not in use. One thing that can be checked for is to see if the program on the Android is still active. You can do so with the following steps.
- Log into Teensafe until you are on the main page.
- Click on the teen’s profile, then on the mobile icon.
If the software on the phone is not active, it will look like this:
The first troubleshooting step is to powercycle the phone. Have it turned off, give it a few minutes, then turn it back on.
If the phone still does not update, the software may need to be removed and reinstalled. Start off by going to settings.
Click on the Mobile setup of the account that the phone is associated with.
Now select the Uninstall TeenSafe App
If you have the phone, click the confirm button, and then the close button.
Once they receive the text, open up the text message but do not click on it. The phone will read the code from the text and will perform the uninstall itself. Give it 5-10 minutes.
They will know if the uninstallation is complete by going to Home – their Teen’s Profile – and then the Mobile device. If it says inactive, the device should be removed. Afterwards, reboot the phone and proceed with the software installation again.
